dial inscribed "E. Taber, Roxbury", for Elnathan Taber, Massachusetts, circa 1800, arched and painted dial with port scene with American flags, gilt spandrels, seconds sweep and date aperture, eight day movement, set in a fine inlaid Roxbury type case, with arched hood with pierced fretwork and brass finials, stop fluted colonettes and quarter columns, case door interior with original directions label, banded inlaid case on French feet, two weights, winder, and pendulum present, 92 x 20 x 10 in.
