possibly 17th/18th century, with pomegranate floral pattern, pieced from four panels, later crimson backing, attached handwritten note reads "This is my great-grandmother's Christening Cloak (or wrap) suppose to be used for her 12 children. My grandmother was the first it was supposed to be used for, on October 23rd 1792. When first I remembered it - there was a cream trimming on the edge that was gone before it came into my possession.
