Continental, possibly 16th/17th century, oak throughout, finely crafted, the crown with tall spires and blind carved Gothic arches, resting on a tall pierced Gothic arch support, six sided platform base with pierced trefoil carving, on molded base, 33-1/2 x 11-1/4 x 8 in. - Provenance: Estate of Paul W. Doll, Jr., Lake Toxaway, North Carolina surface wear and distress with scattered old repairs, including one pierced element in crown (an old replacement), some possible repairs at tall spires (some old later brown color at back), platform base likely an old replacement with surface distress, some minor losses to trifoil piercings, patches and repairs to base, back with scars from previous hangers, patch and repair to one side panel of base
