British, late 18th/early 19th century, with lightwood inlaid stepped pediment over three cabinets with glazed doors and inlaid muntins, doors with carved fleur de lis, adjustable shelved interiors, lower case with central fitted desk drawer with finely inlaid drawers, rosette and scroll carved valances, leather lined writing surface, mahogany drawer linings, over two inlaid cabinet doors opening to three interior linen slides, with red cedar secondary, flanked on each side by five graduated dovetailed drawers with oak linings and original brass bail handles, 97-1/2 x 98-1/2 x 27 in. - Provenance: James G.
