British, 18th century, of small scale, broken-arch crest with leaf and rocaille applied gilt ornaments centering a well-carved spread-wing phoenix, mirror plate flanked by streamers, 37-1/2 x 17-1/2 in.. Provenance: Private Collection, Wilson, North Carolina
good condition overall, scattered cracks, wear and surface losses to gilt elements, some minor veneer repairs, mirror plate with some distress and likely replaced (not removed)
