British, mid 18th century, scrolled crest with pierced carved and gilt central shell, double arched mirror plate, beveled mirror plate with gilt and molded surround, mellow brown color, 42-1/4 x 22-3/4 in.

in good condition, probably original mirror plate with silvering distress (not removed for exam, small chip evident at upper right corner), typical scattered veneer cracks, flaws, and old repairs at scrolls
