Russian or Continental, 19th century, highly figured burlwood frame, possibly karelian birch, triple back form set with scrolled arms with wing supports on scrolled legs, striped silk upholstery, 35 x 66 x 19-1/2 in. generally good condition, frame with scattered minor patches, repairs and tacking scars, back center stiles each with rectangular patch (perhaps once fitted with central brace?), crack and minor repair at one scrolled arm, other scattered flaws, modern upholstery generally good (not examined under upholstery)
