mid 18th century, the upper case with deeply shaped bonnet top, urn turned and gilt flame finials, panel doors opening to a fitted interior, lower section with fitted desk interior, original scalloped frame with cabriole legs and pad feet, fluted desk interior has removable prospect section with two secret drawers, 92 x 41 x 22-1/2 in.

good condition overall, frame with some minor later structural supports, finial flames regilt (finials possibly restored), removable bonnet backboard previously shortened (to accommodate ceiling height) and now raised with later block, other possible repairs to bonnet back, prospect door and some valances replaced, one side scrolled molding of frame an old replacement, typical minor cracks at fall board, brasses replaced, some interior drawer bottoms replaced
