Gilt-Decorated Cabinet on Tilting and Rotating Stand mid-19th century, the cabinet with extremely fine gilt decoration depicting elaborate landscapes with figures, two doors opening to seven interior drawers with original engraved brass pulls, fully decorated, set on a pedestal-form base with birdcage mechanism allowing the top to rotate and tilt, cabinet 21 x 18 x 10 in., height with stand 48 in.. Condition: in very fine condition with only minor chips and wear to lacquer at edges of top, the pedestal with shrinkage crack to top with wear and gilding losses to base with scattered cracks and losses to lacquer, original feet with some surface wear (no repairs found), missing wedge for bird cage.
