attributed to East Tennessee, possibly Bradley County, circa 1795-1810, single case construction in finely carved birch, cove molded cornice with shaped frieze molding over two doors, panels with rayed rectangular design with oval centers, above three matching cockbeaded and dovetailed drawers and two frame-and-panel doors below, original shaped feet with returns, interior with three grooved plate lips, back with original tongue-and-groove vertical boards with cut nails, doors lock with wooden pin engaged by spring lock activated by string around back of cupboard, poplar secondary, 85-1/2 x 43 x 24 in., lot includes documentation by MESDA, copies of provenance

interior with scattered candle burns, cornice with several separations, brass pulls replaced, old refinishing, some losses to old lock mortises, minor warping at doors
