early 19th century, each with facing spread wing eagle perched on a rock formation flanked by cattail and foliate decoration, molded circular surround decorated with spherules, convex mirror plate with ebonized liner, leaf mounted winding candle arms with brass candle cups, acanthus pendant, 45 x 33 x 6 in.

Condition

both mirrors structurally sound and in a fine state of overall preservation, gilt surface is mostly original with some retouches at areas of loss and later gilding along foliate molding of surround, scattered losses to gilt surface throughout, crest and pendant with several repairs and reattachments, some scattered losses to inner foliate molding, surround frame with scattered separations to laminated construction (remains secure), candle arms and cups with wax residue, other imperfections and wear from age and use
