Note: Per Sumpter Priddy notes there is a nearly identical lantern in the collection of the Bostonian Society Museum in Boston, Massachusetts, now the Revolutionary Spaces Old State House.

original paint with loss and distress, glass panes appear to be original, three finials replaced, later candle tray to interior, several holes from previous electrification, Robert Cukla of Boonsboro, Maryland, removed a later black finish revealing the current paint (See photos for Sumpter Priddy condition notes)
