Mahogany and Burl Walnut Marquetry-Inlaid Bedstead attributed to Herter Brothers or a contemporary, New York, circa 1880, headboard with carved anthemion crest over sunflowers in relief above a frieze of vine and flower marquetry inlay, footboard with similar carving and inlay, each rail with marquetry-inlaid floral panel, one rail stamped in black "ST. 64651", cherry and walnut secondary, 76 x 65-1/2 x 83-1/2 in., good condition, scattered surface wear and some minor sun fading, corner bracket at front of one rail with some possible restoration. Provenance: Property of Ronald and Cheryl Howard, sold to benefit the Mount Vernon Ladies' Association
