Small Dower Chest Pennsylvania, circa 1800, boldly painted and grained in ocher yellow, the front centering a black flowerpot outlined in red, with vibrant green, red-orange and yellow flowers flanked by lovebirds, inscribed "For Lydia Heberling" in red lettering, interior of lid with painted and pencil inscriptions, one "…Presented by her mother…", 21-1/4 x 37-1/4 x 18 in.. Condition: excellent condition with original paint surface and feet, restorations at parts of lid molding, parts not restored with wear and one minor loss, lacking lid for interior till and original lock.
