1790-1810, attributed to Easton, Pennsylvania, hood with scrolled pediment with pinwheel inlaid rosettes, brass finials, arched painted dial with seconds sweep, date aperture and brass eight day movement, finely figured tiger maple waisted case, with shell carved door and inset fluted quarter columns, set on original ogee bracket feet, with two weights, period pendulum and finials, case with 19th century inscription "A. excellent condition overall, crazing and minor losses to dial paint, restorations to base molding, original feet with some repairs including one pieced front facing, shrinkage separation at lower panel, small loss to beading, old varnished surface with some crazing, original saddle board is a good match to case, other typical wear and flaws consistent with age and use
