Philadelphia, circa 1825, with figured mahogany banded top opening to a finely figured matched mahogany playing surface, brass inlaid skirt with gilt bronze floral applique, above a brass inlaid lyre form swan figural and leaf carved support, pedestal base with gilt bronze applique, leaf carved legs, and lion's paw feet, poplar and white pine secondary, 30-1/2 x 36 x 18 in.

Condition

excellent condition overall, typical minor shrinkage cracks, checking, and veneer distress to top, some caster attachments loose, much of the base retains early possibly original surface, scattered bumps and edge wear with some minor chips and cracks to carved leaves, scattered minor surface distress, slight finish fading to top
