Pennsylvania or Southern, circa 1820-1840, finely constructed with highly figured cherry, burlwood, and tiger maple, with poplar secondary, upper case with arched doors opening to adjustable shelved interior, arched side panels, deeply molded cornice, lower case with finely fitted tiger maple butler's desk, over two cabinet doors opening to three tiger maple faced linen slides, doors flanked by fluted and turned columns, deeply fielded gothic arched side panels, inlaid bone escutcheons, 95 x 45-1/2 x 24 in.

Good overall with scattered veneer cracks and losses at pediment, corner crack to one glazed door, typical shrinkage cracks and veneer distress at paneled doors, one escutcheon replaced, feet possibly restored, other surface wear and abrasions, possible later stain at front of top, some dents at drawer pulls (probably original), scratches to leather writing surface, other typical flaws consistent with age and use
