Chest of Drawers
attributed to Virginia, late 18th/early 19th century, tall form with three-over-two-over-five drawers, flanked by quarter columns, dentil-molded cornice and ogee bracket feet, figured mellow brown walnut throughout with poplar, yellow pine and walnut secondary, original feet and most blocking, case with full dust boards throughout, 78-1/2 x 47-1/2 x 25-1/2 in.. Condition: good condition overall, brasses replaced, one front foot with spliced face patches (approximately 3 in.), other minor cracks and repairs to feet with some replaced and/or lacking blocking, one interior case side with two later braces, some minor patches at drawer lips, outermost cornice molding possibly restored.
