The Fates (Clotho and Atropos), after the antique by Pheidias for the east pediment of the Parthenon, interpreted without losses, foundry mark “Barbedienne. Fondeur.”, sharply incised underside with foundry number "19.", impressed seal “Reduction Mecanique A. Collas”, patinated and gilt bronze, 14-1/2 x 27 in., black marble plinth with ormolu mounted feet, 4-1/2 x 8-1/2 x 26 in.
