probably American, early 19th century, arched painted dial, indistinctly signed, spandrels depict four seasons, inscribed, "SPEED PLOUGH", Roman chapter ring, seconds hand and calendar aperture, brass eight day time and strike movement, inlaid mahogany waisted case, white and yellow (?) pine secondary, pendulum, weights present, 82 in.

flaking wear and minor losses to dial paint, top molding of hood replaced (possibly once fitted with swan's neck), some typical veneer distress, case uprights possibly altered, some repairs to feet (bottom board replaced), case possibly reduced in height

Sales Tax: If you live in North Carolina and/or pick up from the auction house, and do not have a valid resale tax number on file with us, you MUST pay North Carolina state sales tax. The NC Sales Tax will not apply to any items being shipped out of state (unless the client resides in North Carolina) or to those clients with a resale tax number.
