Our May 28th auction features the finest names in American furniture, paintings and decorative arts, from Duncan Phyfe and Michael Allison to Thomas Moran and Albert Bierstadt. The lots on offer are a single owner collection of museum quality New York, Boston, Philadelphia and Baltimore furniture, important Hudson River School paintings, and the finest examples of complimentary decorative arts, all from Iris Court in Moultrie, Georgia. The magnificent 5,200 square foot Greek Revival mansion is an Edward Vason Jones masterwork, and the interiors are among his legendary accomplishments.

New York, circa 1815, attributed to Duncan Phyfe (1768-1854), white pine and maple secondary, brass casters, 28-1/2 x 56-1/2 x 87-5/8 in., together with a reproduction six leg drop leaf table, opens to 153-3/8 in.

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
