possibly attributed to Peter or John Bell, circa early 1800s, lead glazed with greenish yellow colored slip field over body, four manganese and copper applied slip "flower pot" decorations around the body of jar, bulbous form, flared foot, tooled collared neck, straight neck, tooled quadruple fluted rim, large arched tailed strap handle, manganese slip decoration around both handle terminals, 8-3/4 in.

glaze voids and anomalies as made, surface wear and abrasions especially around belly, 3/4 in. gaze anomaly to right shoulder, 1/2 in. glaze chip to right lower body, wear with glaze and clay chips to most of rim and spout, wear and tiny glaze frits to fluted rim, interior neck wear, eight glaze frits to collar, the largest 3/8 in., wear to handle, surface abrasions, otherwise good presentation and fair surviving condition of an extremely rare form
