Note: This piece is accompanied by a report with photos from John Bivins Associates referencing pottery traditions in Southern alkaline glaze stoneware, other wall pocket forms, and a correlation between decorated John Lehman pieces from Rock Mills, Alabama and a salt glaze and Albany slip jar with very similar molded sprig decoration that was found and believed to be from that same area.
