New England, probably coastal Massachusetts or New Hampshire, 18th century, molded top over deeply shaped side skirts on finely formed cabriole legs with ball and claw feet, appears to retain an original untouched surface, white pine secondary, 25-1/2 x 28 x 10-1/2 in., opens to 28-1/2 in.

Note: A remarkable rarity, this table is perhaps the only example of this diminutive size to incorporate carved ball and claw feet.

Condition

in a remarkable state of preservation, appears to retain its original surface, old losses at joints of leaves to rule joints, old crack at one leaf with a small metal brace, very old crack and repair at top of one leg with wrought iron braces
