including tin-type photographs in a Gutta-Percha folding case, 3-3/4 x 3-1/4 in., very good; James Lilley's 1812 hand-written school book in handmade cloth-bound covers, 14-1/2 x 9-1/2 in., good only, some loss to the cloth, some rubbing; a binder with five Lilley related documents: "To Fix a Dial North and South," "Return of a company of Infantry of Virginia, 1824," an appointment from The Commonwealth of Virginia to the rank of Colonel, an 1845 receipt for work done, and an 1820 document for the return of artillery, cavalry, arms, and equipment, the largest measuring 13-1/4 x 8-1/4 in., all very good .
