French, 19th century, figured mahogany veneers set with finely cast gilt bronze mounts, oak secondary, black marble top, 36 x 46-1/4 x 18 in., Provenance: according to consignor notes, purchased from Jim Williams (Savannah, Georgia) for $9,700 in 1998. According to Williams, the pier table came from the estate of Prince Faisal I of Iraq; Estate of Carl R. Hartrampf Jr., Atlanta, Georgia scattered veneer patches and repairs throughout, some distress at mounts of bronze feet, back of rear supports with repairs and areas of infill, veneer distress at base with some color retouch and repairs, other possible repairs at base, some wear to gilding on mounts, restorations to rear quarter round moldings; marble top probably original, in good condition with minor edge wear and chips
