Infantry, Washington: Government Printing Office, 1891-1895, Howes C816, a major Civil War reference, 35 atlas portfolio volumes and an index, all housed in a custom full morocco clamshell case with morocco title labels affixed to the front cover and on the spine, with marbled edges and interiors, 18-1/2 x 14-1/2 in., each portfolio is very good in original printed wrappers, there have been some archival repairs to the paper wrappers and to some of the maps and plates, the slipcase has a circular stain on the front otherwise near fine, a very handsome treatment of this Civil War reference, portfolio 24 with split along fold.
