Lea, 1822, Philadelphia, 46 double-page hand-colored engraved map sheets, and numerous tables and charts (complete); mountain plate is uncolored, recently rebound with the original elaborately gilt-decorated spine laid down over original paper boards, 17-3/4 x 12-1/4 in.; housed in a custom-made clamshell case with morocco spine label, original boards are rubbed and discolored, some loss at the extremities, preliminaries appear to have been reinforced at the gutters, maps and charts are very good, with a bit of occasional offsetting, tiny amounts of foxing, basically clean and bright.
