probably ancient, exact age unknown, wood covered in white gesso, and˜painted in red, blue, green, brown, and black, depicting˜a falcon at the top, with column of black painted hieroglyphic text to the right, below is a portion of spread wings, possibly of the goddess Nut or Isis, standing below are two mummiform figures, possibly the baboon-headed Hapy or Hapi, and human-headed Imsety wearing a blue wig, both holding what appear to be imiut fetish on stands, and both dressed in green striped mummy bandages, two holes line up along the left side of the fragment, 14-3/8 x 7 in.Note: Items in this lot were obtained in 1966 in Giza, Egypt by the consignor's mother, who was there at the time working as a cultural attache.
