American, 18th century, exterior front and back with finely embroidered ribbon design linked with floral sprays, stitched within the ribbon, "My guardian dear this trifle take" (front), "value and keep it for my sake" (back), opens to two inner pockets with scalloped shaped flaps, floral sprays embroidered on each side, silk satin covered linen, silk thread with sequin accents, 3-1/2 x 5-5/8 in., opens to 7-1/4 x 5-5/8 in., with gilt wood frame separation of silk interior fold, wear and losses along edges, two different colored threads and faint pencil mark beginning of sentiment.
