(New Mexico, born 1972)Chiefs of the Wind, edition 7/20, signed on naturalistic base "Natiya", patinated bronze, with wood and marble turning base, 48 x 30 x 20 in.; stained wood custom made pedestal with Native American motif decoration, 37 x 19-1/8 x 19-1/8 in. - Note: In a note, Ed Natiya discussesÿthis bronze saying, "Chiefs of the Windÿreflects that precarious and yet beautiful balance found in life. Here, in this one moment of time, are the two chiefs, the chief of the earth, and the chief of the sky. Both are strong, wise, and fearless, brought together by chance and by wind. Together they commune, sing, and bestow honor upon one another. So brief are moments such as these, when balance is achieved." - Provenance: Hueys Fine Art Santa Fe, New Mexico (accompanied by a copy of the receipt; Letter of Authenticity; letter from Ed Natiya and inscribed and signed study sketch); Private Collection, Asheville, North Carolina
