(Georgia, 1916-2003), etched on base "Ed Moulthrop, Rare Dawn Redwood, Metasequoyah glyptostroboides, From the Arboretum of the Atlanta Historical Society", with square branded cipher and sticker, 4 x 10-3/4 in. minor surface anomalies. Notes: Sticker reads as follows "Long believed to be extinct, and only seen in million-year-old fossils, the DAWN REDWOOD was discovered in a remote region of China in 1941 by a group of American plant explorers.
