and Garnet Ring probably 3rd century Roman Empire, 11 x 8.5 mm. rectangular cabochon-shaped bezel-set gemstone, probably garnet, cast and hand-crafted yellow gold mount tests at least 22 kt., size approximately 3-1/2, 5.2 grams, with appraisal, very good for estimated age and wear, light scratches on mount, chips, fissures and abrasions on gemstone.
