17th/18th century elements, with five paneled back carved with rosette and leaf stylized decoration, one panel with initials "AS" and "679", plank seat, turned legs with stretchers, 35-1/2 x 71 x 23 in.

reconfigured (some elements with unused mortise holes), nail scars, and other evidence of previous use, seat replaced, minor pest and water damage at foot bottoms, edge loss at one back panel, scattered cracks, checking, warping, and other typical flaws, mellow brown patinated surface
