Southeastern Pennsylvania, circa 1750, with scalloped crest rail over double paneled back, downward scrolled arms, on turned legs with stretchers, 43-3/4 x 23-1/2 x 22 in. - Provenance: Skip Chalfant Antiques; Property from the Collection of Dudley and Constance Godfrey
Condition
appears to have good integrity overall, repinning at some joints, seat possibly old replacement, with some cracks and warping, minor crack at one arm support, some nail scars at one side arm attachment from previous brace, now removed, other typical minor abrasions (finish is dark and murky, making condition assessment difficult), lower part of legs and lower stretchers restored
