18th century with later elements, "Samuel Ruel, Rotterdam" signed dial with etched decoration and gilt bronze spandrels, painted moon phase with mechanized ships, painted calendar aperture, brass movement, deer fretwork and column decorated bonnet top with stacked crest and figural gilt finials, case with chamfered stiles, shaped door with bronze mounted window, bombe bracketed base, includes winder, two weights and pendulum, 109 x 22 x 10 in.

dial and movement in mostly original condition, moon phase with minor paint loss and one small area of later paint apparent under blacklight, calendar aperture with minor paint loss, case with good structural integrity, later finials, fretwork with losses, returns with later punched brass panels, lower case with shrinkages and minor losses, base with several repairs and minor losses, other general wear as expected with age and use
Available payment options
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
