Note: Charles Martin Loeffler was a famous violinist, composer, and teacher, and a friend of Bunker's. He was the assistant concertmaster of the Boston Symphony, which also performed his compositions during and after his tenure with the orchestra. He composed his Quartet in 1889, and this is presumably a study for the cover of Bunker's friend's work.
