British, 19th century, five pieces total, comprising: four covered dishes and one covered compote fitting together in an oval layout, each with blue and white transfer decoration, landscape and riverscape scenes, impressed marks for Davenport to bases, dishes 5-1/4 x 11-1/4 x 8 in. and 5-1/4 x 14-1/2 x 7 in., compote 7-1/2 x 9-3/4 x 7 in.; with oval tray with brass side handles, 20-7/8 x 17-5/8 in.

Condition
surface dirt and accretion, scattered surface scratches, some crazing; one lid with two cracks and repairs; one dish with several chips to foot; compote with some hairlines around base of body; tray with some cracking and losses to rim, some separations at side and through bottom panel, water stain to underside, some rust to joints
Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.
