.58 caliber, 40 in. barrel, stud type blade front sight, three position rear sight with "3" and "5" stamps, lock plate stamped "U.S. / COLT'S PT F A MFG CO - HARTFORD CT.", engraved "eagle" under cap nipple, "1863" stamped behind cock, top of barrel stamped "1863", "V / P / eagle head" and "E.F. / STEEL" stamped on sides of barrel, "DAP" and "JT" inspectors cartouches on left side of stock, "C" stamp behind tang screw, "U / M" stamps on both sides of two largest barrel bands, "U / T" stamp on both sides of smallest barrel band, "T", "M", and "J" stamps on trigger guard, "O" stamp in stock behind trigger guard, "U.S." stamp on top of butt plate, 21 in. triangular fluted bayonet with "U.S." stamp, 39-1/2 in. steel ramrod, 56 in. overall without bayonet

Purchased items will be available for pick up or shipping from our Asheville, North Carolina auction facility within ten business days of the auction, or will be assessed a storage fee of $5.00 per day, per item. Purchaser agrees that packing and shipping is done at the purchaser's risk and that the purchaser will pay in advance all packing expenses, materials, carrier fees and insurance charges. At our discretion, items will either be packed by an agent such as a packaging store or Brunk Auctions. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. Shipment of large items is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to provide names of carriers and shippers if a purchaser so requests. Brunk Auctions will have no liability for any loss or damage to shipped items.

very little evidence of wear or use, bright metal components with some oxidation and staining, some abrasions to buttstock, 1/4 in. chip to upper right side of buttstock, surface anomalies to both sides of upper buttstock near butt plate, ding to corner of butt plate, very good overall condition
