possibly 17th century, intact, bound hand illuminated antiphonary, undated, bound in full leather over wood boards, with four raised bands, front and back with pierced metal decorative hardware, intact leather clasp (later), probably bound later, containing 184 double sided vellum sheets, plus four additional double sided vellum sheets (possibly associated), 188 sheets total, unpaginated, each sheet with black and red musical notes and decorations, with initial vignettes, the first with floral decorations in color, a few in blue and red, with cloth place marker ribbons, 21-1/2 x 15-1/2 x 4-1/4 in.

with wear at top and bottom of spine and at extremities with some losses, metal pieces with some verdigris, foredges with hand written lettering, sheets with typical wear and occasional staining at edges, a few with small holes/losses, nine sheets with one or more tears with stitch bound repairs
