Decorated and Figured Mahogany Bombé Desk
probably Dutch, 19th century, the surface well-painted with urn, ribbon and floral decoration, serpentine lid opening to a fitted interior with mirrored prospect door, 44-1/2 x 54-1/2 x 26-1/2 in., opens to 37-1/2 in.
generally good restored condition, drawer pulls replaced, scattered minor repairs with some areas of paint retouch, warping to top panel with some distress at ends, repair with retouch at escutcheon on fallboard, one backboard replaced, other scattered shrinkage cracks, minor sun fading, veneer flaws and minor repairs
