Document, 1870 John L. Worden (1818- 1897), Civil War admiral who commanded the Monitor against the Merrimack in the first battle of ironclad ships, a partially printed document from the Navy Department Bureau of Navigation and Office of Detail, framed with a print "First Navel Combat Between Iron Vessels," 1862, (frame) 19 x 14-1/2 in. print shows some foxing and very slight edge wear, document has evidence of folds, slight edge wear and two spots of worming.
