English, 1892-3, extravagant gilding framing oval pate-sur-pate panels front and reverse, field of tiny turquoise “jewels” at sides, English silver mount with gadrooned cap holding pate-sur-pate locking hinged cap, marks for Hukin & Heath, 1892, lacking city mark, probably Birmingham, .925 fine, 4-3/4 in. difficulty in opening, silver hinge damaged, lid broken, loss to gilding on tip, light wear, otherwise good condition.
