Van Huysum 1737 FEESIT [sic]", oil on canvas, 19-5/8 x 24-1/4 in.; modern parcel gilt and burl veneered frame, 24-7/8 x 29-1/2 in.Note: This painting is accompanied by an extensive research archive which dates the painting to the period of Jan and Jacob van Huysum and includes the following: the results of a scientific analysis from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of William Young, with report, x-ray (exam num. 68.36), stating the painting is from the period with a signature added later. There is also correspondence with the Rijksmuseum, The Hague with comments from B.J.A. Renckens to paraphrase, 'it is not the hand of Jan Van Huysum but bears some similarities to his brother, Jacob Van Huysum but without enough to be attributed to him'.
