British or American, 18th century, scrolled crest and base, the top with pierced and gilt-carved phoenix, probably original mirror plate, 33 x 20-1/2 in.
distress to mirror plate, surface losses and paint retouch to phoenix with head replaced, repair and separation at one area of mirror surround, original backboards, warping to top and base with typical veneer cracks, flaws and scattered repairs
