British, circa 1765, highly figured veneers, blind fretwork, leaf, and gadrooned carving, gilt finial rosettes and mirrored door surrounds, lower case with fitted desk interior, dovetailed drawers with oak linings on carved feet, 102-1/2 x 44 (case) x 23-1/2 in.
Condition
restored with some alterations and repairs, eagle finial likely associated, carved molding on upper case a later addition, probable restorations to fall board, brasses replaced, some gilding losses and retouch to bird finial, minor breaks and repairs to pierced pediment, slight warping to glazed doors (mirror plates replaced)
