British, 18th century, the back set with pierced headrest over two gothic pierced splats, scalloped skirts and square legs, brown leather-upholstered seat, 40 in.. Condition: scattered pest damage especially to legs, warping, secondary surfaces with later paint, pest damage and infill at back of headrest support (headrest likely a later addition), some repairs to splats, slip seat replaced, scattered surface abrasions and finish losses, leather upholstery with some wear and distress.
