dial signed "James Wilson Belfast", Irish, 18th century, the hood with blind fret carved and broken-arch pediment, engraved brass and silvered dial with seconds hand, waisted case with fluted quarter columns and blind fret carved base corners, 87-3/4 x 21-1/2 x 11 in.
dial resurfaced with scratches and wear, date aperture currently unused, patch and repair to saddleboard, case refinished, replaced central pediment element, patches and repair at scroll necks, cracks and repairs to one side of hood, other cracks and repairs to case especially at box base
