British or American, 18th century, scrolled crest with pierced center with gilt spread-wing phoenix, probably original beveled mirror plate, 39-3/4 x 29-14 in.. Condition: scattered breaks and repairs to scrolled elements, one ear replaced and one with repairs, typical veneer cracks and checking with scattered minor losses. Provenance: Estate of Charles G.
