Notes: Qiu Ying is regarded as one of the four masters of Ming and is one of the most replicated. According to the consignor these silk panels were purchased by her grandmother who "traveled when she was a young lady. The story is that she purchased these 2 panels and a young man friend she met was going to send on the other 2 panels. They never arrived. Each panel represents a season. My grandmother was born in 1878. Her family was affluent and all of the children traveled extensively."
